Arrival Procedures

Early Departure
One of our great features is the “Early Departure”
option. If you can plan on arriving at Kettle Falls between
4PM and 6PM you can be checked out on the operation of your
houseboat, load and depart the Marina that afternoon. If
you arrive after 7 PM you may load your belongings but check
out will not take place until 8 AM in the morning. This
option adds the seventh night and a “head start”
on your vacation. It also saves you the cost of motel rooms
in route all for the modest cost of $225.00.
Standard Charter period
The regular charter period starts at 8AM on day one of your charter
and ends at 2PM on the last day of the charter. (See check out
procedures)
Fishing
If anyone in your party plans on fishing, We suggest that
you purchase your Washington Fishing License before you
arrive. They can be purchased at any Wal-Mart and most sporting
goods stores. We do sell fishing licenses at the marina
office between 9 AM and 5 PM.
Groceries
We suggest that you wait until your arrival in the Kettle Falls
area before purchasing your groceries and other supplies. This
way the ladies (or men if they are so inclined) can all go to
the grocery store together, this way you don't end up with 6 bottles
of ketchup and no eggs?
There are several excellent Super Markets in the area. Harvest
Foods, located in Kettle Falls, is a well-stocked market with
an excellent meat department. Super One, Safeway, and Wal-Mart
are located Nine miles South on Highway 395 in Colville
Our Marina store offers limited groceries, ice, soft drinks, bottled
water, beer, milk, fishing tackle and souvenirs.
Captain's orientation, Loading and Occupancy of Houseboat
Our check In procedures are designed to make your check-in a
good, timely experience for you. If done properly your Captain's
orientation will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes and the loading
and departure from the Marina another 45 minutes to an hour. In
order to make this procedure as efficient as possible we suggest
the following:
-
Before you leave home,
go to our web site (www.lakeroosevelt.com) and from the houseboat
pull down menu click on "houseboat manual" and follow
the instructions to download and print the manual. Please read
the manual and become familiar with the procedures before arriving
at our facility.
-

- Upon your arrival at the Marina:
-
Check in at the Houseboat Office and they will
confirm your houseboat status.
- You will be introduced to your customer relations
person who will assist you with parking, loading procedures
and introduce your Captain and First Mate to your check out
Captain. The Captain and First Mate will accompany your check
out Captain to the houseboat for a complete origination of the
operation of the boat, completion of the Charter agreement,
etc.
-
We ask that only two of your group accompany the check-out Captain on the origination of the houseboat. This saves redundancy and also allows the remainder of the group to prepare to load, obtain ice and other items from our Marina store, buy fishing licensing and small craft launch permits ( NPS Fee of $6.00 for 7 days), if needed.
-
After the origination is complete our customer
relations person will assist you in loading your houseboat utilizing
